I think I will also use this blog to talk a bit about the books I read.
Everyone who knows me knows, that I love books to death!
Sadly I don't have that amount of time anymore to read all the books I'd love to read. =( Thanks to my studies.
But those I do read and like, I will put up here and write a bit about them. Let's see how that goes.
To start off, I recently read a book from Erwin Raphael McManus. The book is called 'The Barbarian Way: Unleash the Untamed Faith Within' (in German: 'Go wild!'
Erwin writes about the adventure of being a Christian and wild Christianity. He is so right that our faith, religion, has been civilized and there are barely wild Christians left. Those who show radical faith and follow Jesus right away.
The book gives you a completely new perspective and let's you think yourself and your faith, your relationship with God over. You smell the adventure, you smell the sense of wildness and you begin to wish to be more like that, to renew your faith and become a wild Christian.
Erwin uses a lot of great images to explain what he means and to show what wild Christianity looks like.
The book really made me think and still does. I can really recommend this book to you and tell you for sure that it's gonna make you think and you won't be able to lay it down till you've read through it! (I even read it while I was walking home from the station in the dark, holding my cellphone to light it up so I could read!)
