As I wrote in my last entry: I was / am going nuts because I couldn't study at all.
Nevertheless I learned that in his, not my time God provides.....
at some point He gave me exactly what I needed: concentration and to top it off, the interest in what I had to learn.
I mean, of course I kind of chose what to study (well, God said: go and become a minister! but I chose to follow so in some kind of mysterious way I chose to study theology)so, I had to be and have to be interested in this, but you know how this goes: everything you have to do, you are supposed to do.....everything that you need to study in order to pass because the people who set the rules for what you have to learn to get your BA of theology (arts) or MA, everything, it just does not make any fun to study....just because you have to. (okay, this was probably one of the longest sentences I've built......and I build a lot of long sentences)
So, since I had to study for example 'history of the ancient church 'till 325' I did not really look forward to it and of course, didn't feel any kind of interest for it.
But, God blessed me with it.
I asked Him to give we concentration, to help me keep in mind and understand what I have to study and not just read without really reading it (you know what I mean).
And, God gave it to me....and not just that, but also the interest in it. It didn't bother me at all what I had to study.....to be honest, it really made me curious to find out more and know more about how the baptism of children developed, how Constantine made changes for the church, from which we still profit.....etc
Why do I write this?
Well, just think....
this is the perfect example for what God tells us.
If we ask for something, he is not going to give it to us for sure...and not at the time we ask him for it.
But He will give us what we need, well even more than we need and in the right time, his time.
We just need to trust Him, trust Him that he will provide, for our good.
=)
To make a lot of thoughts short:
Trust God! He will give you not (only) what you ask for, but more than you need, right when you need it.
